The picture will be produced on location in and around St. Louis, Mo. on a four week shooting schedule at a budget of $3.5 million pursuant to the Missouri state film tax incentive program.  Production is anticipated to commence in January, 2008.  

Penguin-Signet originally published the SHIVER novel in 1992. A republishing of the novel
as a film tie-in is planned once the film is announced for production. The exposure to the new SHIVER film in addition to the millions of pre-existing Brian Harper cult followers, eagerly awaiting SHIVER as the premiere film in the Brian Harper franchise, will greatly increase the potential  commercial success of the film.
